Since we opened in March we have welcomed no less than 7 families/groups to Balure and each and everyone has been special and memorable.
The Games Lodge has been on on-going project and we are enjoying adding to it every so often. The 'loo' is now fully functioning too. A new fully glazed door has been added to provide extra access to the new decking.
More fencing has been completed by our wonderfully talented 'farmer next door', Sue and we are now awaiting our custom made gates. Planting is taking place in earnest as we watch the garden blossom under the early summer sunshine and the bare patch where the greenhouse was has finally been sown and the grass is now sprouting.
Our first guests have been very kind and left wonderful TripAdvisor reviews which has been really heart-warming and makes all the months of hard work seem worthwhile. It is also great recognition for our dedicated and hardworking Housekeeper, Maria, who we just couldn't do without.
The May Bank Holiday week saw 2 families from England arrive and they were bowled over with how much was going on in and around Kintyre - the MoK Run, Tarbert Yacht Series and the Islay Whisky Festival. Never a dull moment around here. The weather was fantastic for them too so there were plenty of day trips to Gigha.
June is now upon us and we are taking these few quiet weeks to prepare in earnest for a busy summer season with lots of back to back bookings.
We are offering 20% discount through June for any break (min 3 days).
